Broken Pulper – Turning Paper Waste into Reusable Pulp

Waste paper (broken ends, trimmed edges, and start-up waste) generated during the papermaking process is not only a waste of resources but also pollutes the environment if discarded. The broken pulpers are like the “stomach” of the production line, responsible for “digesting” this waste paper into reusable fiber pulp, and are key equipment for achieving circular production.
How Broken Pulper Works
Step 1: Pre-shredding
Bundles of waste paper enter the feed inlet equipped with pre-shredding rollers and are torn into smaller fragments for easier subsequent processing.
Step 2: Conveying and Cleaning
The fragments are fed into the pulper via a chain conveyor. Scrapers below the conveyor, spring-loaded, adhere tightly to the chain, scraping away adhering paper flakes to prevent clogging.
Step 3: Hydraulic Disintegration
Inside the pulper, a high-speed rotor generates strong turbulence and shear force, causing the paper flakes to rub against each other and impact the tank walls, rapidly disintegrating them into fibers.
Step 4: Thickening and Discharge
Process water is injected from the top to adjust the pulp concentration. The final pulp is discharged from the bottom outlet and enters the next process.
