Drum Pulper for Pulp & Paper Industry

With its unique concept of “flexible disintegration and integrated screening”, the drum pulper has become a key piece of equipment in the modern waste paper pulping industry. Especially with the increasing demands for fiber quality and operational economy, its technological advantages are becoming more and more prominent.
Drum Pulper Working Principle
Disintegration Stage: Waste paper is fed into a rotating drum from the inlet end, lifted to a certain height by internal shearing plates, and then dropped by gravity. Disintegration is achieved through inter-fiber friction and kneading, avoiding mechanical cutting that could damage fiber length and strength. High-consistency operation (pulp concentration 14%-18%) facilitates chemical penetration and promotes ink stripping.
Screening and Slag Removal Stage: The disintegrated pulp enters the screening zone. Qualified fibers flow through the screen holes due to the liquid level difference; impurities such as plastics, ropes, and hot melt adhesives are pushed towards the drum tail by spiral guide plates and discharged. The integrated design of “disintegration before screening, and simultaneous disintegration and screening” keeps impurities large in size, reducing the load on subsequent systems.
As the quality of recycled waste paper becomes increasingly complex, drum pulpers, as key technological equipment for green pulping, will have a broader application prospect. Welcome email us for drum pulper more details. Our email: leizhanpulper@gmail.com
