Paper Sizing Machine Function
Paper sizing machine is to make the paper or board waterproof. The effect of sizing is that the sized paper is not to penetrated by water and aqueous solutions in some extent.
Paper Sizing Method
Surfact Sizing: After the paper sheet is formed and dried, the sizing agent can be applied to the paper surface by sizing press, coater or calender machine.
Internal Sizing: The sizing agent is added to the papermaking stock to achieve bonding with the paper sheet during the sheet formation.
The results of both processes can reduce the paper’s wet ability to the water, and surface sizing can also reduce the porosity of the paper sheet.
