The Drum Pulper: A Gentle Master of Stock Preparation
In the paper industry, turning waste paper back into usable pulp is a crucial step in resource recycling. The core equipment for accomplishing this is the drum pulper. The drum pulper holds an important position in modern waste paper pulping, and is particularly favored by large packaging paper manufacturers.
Drum Pulper Working Principle
1. The drum pulper has the appearance of a huge horizontal rotating drum, and its working process ingeniously combines pulping and coarse screening into one.
b. Waste paper is fed in from the front end, mixed with water and chemicals, and then repeatedly lifted and thrown down by the rotation of the drum and the action of the internal lifting plate. Fiber separation is achieved by the gentle rubbing and friction between the waste paper and the protrusions on the drum wall.
c. By relying on the swelling and natural disintegration of fibers through rubbing, the original length and strength of the fibers are effectively protected, thus improving the quality of the pulp.
d. The rear half of the drum is equipped with sieve holes. After the slurry is diluted here, qualified fibers pass through the sieve holes to become good slurry, while impurities such as plastics and hot melt adhesives are trapped inside the drum and finally discharged from the end, completing the initial purification.
