Under What Circumstances Does The Paper Deform?

Paper has both elastic and plastic materials. When it receives external force, its deformation has the following characteristics: the elongation of paper increases with the increase of load, but the stress and strain are not proportional. When the load is increased to a certain extent, the increase in elongation will be faster than the increase in load. This shows that the paper is initially an elastic object, and after a certain deformation, it begins to have plastic deformation.

Deform In Paper Making Process

1. Paper can be continuously stretched or creeped under a certain load. When the load is increased until the paper is plasticized, if the load is kept constant, the paper will continue to plasticize until it breaks. This delayed plastic deformation is called creep.

2. When the rate of increasing the load is increased, the load value at the time of fracture increases and the elongation decreases; when the load is slowly increased, the composite value at the time of fracture decreases and the elongation increases.
