Middle Consistency Pressure Screen For Paper Mill

A middle consistency pressure screen is an enclosed piece of equipment applied in the pulping process to screen pulp at middle-to-high consistencies. Its primary function is to remove coarse rejects, knots, and impurities from the pulp without requiring dilution, thereby reducing both the volume of dilution water needed and the load on downstream thickening equipment.
Middle Consistency Pressure Screen Workflow
Pulp Feeding and Pressure Build-up: Medium-consistency pulp is fed into the screen, establishing a pressure differential.
Rotor-Induced Fluidization: The shearing action of the rotor fluidizes the pulp, while pulses serve to clean the screen slots.
Screening and Accept Discharge: Acceptable fibers pass through the screen and are discharged.
Rejects and Heavy Debris Removal: Coarse rejects are discharged through the tailings outlet, while heavy debris is removed via the bottom discharge pipe.
If you are selecting middle consistency pressure screen for a pulp production line, please provide us with details regarding your pulp consistency, throughput, and screening objectives. You will receive a comprehensive technical specification sheet and a quotation within 24 hours.
