In pulp and paper production lines, the pulp—following the cooking or pulping stage—often contains contaminants such as wood splinters, sand, stones, and even metal fragments. If left unremoved, these coarse impurities can, at the very least, cause wear to downstream refining equipment; in more severe cases, they can damage the wire and press sections of the paper machine. The vibrating screen serves as the critical piece of equipment tasked with this “coarse screening” process.
Vibrating Screen Features
Simple structure with a low failure rate. The core components consist only of the screen frame, an eccentric vibration system, and a vibration-damping assembly. There are no complex transmission mechanisms, and with very few wear parts, the equipment can be maintained by a standard mechanical technician.
Compact footprint and flexible layout. The machine’s compact design makes it ideal for retrofitting existing production lines or projects with limited space, requiring minimal civil engineering work.
Wide capacity range. A variety of screening surface areas and screen plate aperture sizes are available; both perforated and slotted screen plates can be selected based on the specific type of pulp being processed.
Highly adaptable to various pulp types. The equipment is well-suited for tasks such as knot removal in chemical pulp, coarse screening of mechanical pulp, and the removal of plastics, rubber, and metals from recycled (waste paper) pulp. It utilizes high-frequency, low-amplitude vibration to prevent screen blinding (clogging), complemented by continuous water spraying to wash the screen surface.
Proven vibration-damping technology for stable operation. Rubber vibration-damping mounts replace traditional springs, minimizing resonance during startup and shutdown while reducing noise. These components offer a long service life and are easy to replace.
